With licenses to practice law in Alabama and Tennessee, Tyrus is a unique asset to the firm, bringing a blend of legal expertise and strategic communication skills. Derek Martin earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law, where he distinguished himself as a member of the Moot Court Board and won recognition as Best Oralist in the Southern Regional Conference Mock Trial Competition. He completed his undergraduate studies at Tougaloo College, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

As a former Assistant Public Defender, Derek developed formidable trial skills, successfully leading numerous cases to verdict.
